Egypt’s Culture Minister Nevine el Kilany opened on Monday artistic activities held on the sidelines of the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh.
The opening ceremony was held at El Salam theatre, with Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhi, South Sinai Governor Khalid Fouda, Culture Minister’s Advisor for Intangible Cultural Heritage Affairs Nahla Emam, in addition to a number of officials.
The Culture Ministry said in a statement on Monday that Al-Tannoura Egyptian heritage dance troupe and El-Arish folk art troupe and other troupes held several ensembles and shows featuring Arab folk dance “Dabke” and the Simsimiyya music of Port Said.
A parade was organized at the tourist walkway in Naama Bay, including eight shows by folk art troupes affiliated to the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, the ministry added.
