Egypt’s Culture Minister Nevine el Kilany gave directives her ministry’s officials to open art and national museums affiliated to the Ministry of Culture for free for the public for several days on the occasion of the International Museum Day (IMD) dated May 18.
In a statement on Tuesday, Kilany said that the ministry believes in the importance of the role of the museums in spreading cultural and art awareness and to shed light on the art treasures in Egypt.
Kilany urged the citizens to visit the museums in that period.
