Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hanno met with Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication and head of the current session of the Arab Ministers of Culture Conference, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and ways to enhance the partnership between the two countries.
This took place on the sidelines of the 24th session of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World.
During the meeting, Hanno praised the string historical and cultural ties between Egypt and Morocco, noting that these ties embody the fraternal bonds between their two brotherly peoples.
He affirmed the political leadership’s commitment to support cultural cooperation with Morocco as part of efforts to protect the shared Arab identity and stressed the importance of launching joint cultural projects and programs aimed at achieving sustainable development and supporting creativity and enlightened thought.
For his part, the Moroccan minister expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s pioneering cultural role, emphasizing Morocco’s commitment to supporting joint Arab action and enhancing cooperation among Arab nations. He praised the distinguished cultural relations between the two countries, pointing out to Egypt outstanding position in the Arab cultural scene due to its rich heritage and intellectual legacy that inspire the region and the world.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen cultural cooperation through the exchange of cultural and artistic events, supporting creators, and launching joint initiatives that contribute to fostering closer relations between the two brotherly peoples.
The Moroccan minister asserted his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation in a way that serves shared Arab cultural issues and supports creativity and cultural diversity in the Arab world.
Both sides stressed that their meeting came within the framework of efforts to enhance Arab cultural integration and continue to develop the shared cultural landscape, reflecting the Arab identity and strengthening the cultural presence of Arab countries on the international stage.
