CAIRO – Egypt’s Culture Minister Niven el Kelany checked on preparations done at Egypt International Exhibitions Center for the 55th Cairo International Book Fair that will be held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Wednesday.
During her tour of the exhibition halls, Kelany gave directives to accelerate the work to finish the preparations before the inauguration date.
She lauded the preparations taking place at the pavilion designated for children publications.
The Ministry of Culture is assiduously working on removing all obstacles to ensure the success of the book fair, she said.
The 55th Cairo International Book Fair will start on January 25 and run until February 6. Norway is the guest of honor of the fair that will feature over 550 events and 5,250 exhibitors. Its theme is “Creating knowledge .. Preserving the Word”.
