CAIRO – Participants in the National Dialogue’s national identity session asserted that culture and identity are a “national security issue.”
They underscored the necessity of capitalizing on education, sports and culture in developing the Egyptian personality.
That came in the first session of discussions of the Culture and National Identity Committee in the societal track of the National Dialogue.
Representative of the “Free Egyptians Party” Ihab el Shahat thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his calls to hold the National Dialogue that will mainly contribute to achieving hopes of all in the homeland.
He proposed the establishment of a national authority to develop the Egyptian personality that will be chaired by the president and includes 14 members from experts in the various spheres.
