Chief of Staff, General Osama Askar, returned home along with his accompanying delegation following his official visit to Türkiye at the invitation of General MetinGürak, Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.
General Askar engaged in extensive discussions with General Gürak, covering various aspects of military cooperation, as well as regional and international crises affecting the national security of both countries. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing military cooperation in multiple areas in the coming period.
Additionally, General Askar met with HulusiAkar, the Turkish Minister of Defense. He conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Egypt’s Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Mohamed Zaki. Minister Akar praised the convergence of views between the two countries regarding the development of Egyptian-Turkish military cooperation, acknowledging Egypt’s influential role in the Middle East region.
Furthermore, General Askar held discussions with the Head of the Turkish Defense Industries and attended a presentation on a range of defense industry companies, including Baykar, a leading aircraft manufacturer. He also visited the headquarters of the Turkish Armed Forces’ Special Forces.
General Askar’s visit underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen military ties between Egypt and Türkiye, contributing to regional stability and security.
