Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, paid on Tuesday an inspection visit to a technical unit of the Armoured Corps. This visit underscores the General Command of the Armed Forces’ keenness on maintaining continuous follow-up of the development and modernisation process of weaponry and equipment for various specialised branches.
During the visit, Lt Gen Askar was briefed by the Armoured Corps Chief-of-Staff on work mechanisms within the main armoured workshops, maintenance procedures, and the provision of technical support by taking advantage of the technological development of modern technical insurance systems.
Lt Gen Askar conveyed to the Armored Corps personnel the greetings of General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces to implementingthe development and modernisation plans.
These plans prioritise the incorporation of the latest combat systems and leverage advancements in technology across administrative and technical domains to ensure continued operational effectiveness in the face of an evolving technological landscape.
