The Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, yesterday watched the main phase of a tactical command centre project carried out by the Southern Fleet within the framework of the Armed Forces plan for training combat formations and units.
In a statement to the event, the Navy Commander, Admiral Ashraf Atwa, reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to providing due training to combatants in order to maintain the highest degrees of combat efficiency and readiness for all assigned tasks.
The main phase of the project featured presentations of reports and decisions from commanding officers at all levels. It reflected the high combat preparedness and skillfulness of the participating units in employing the latest command and control systems in carrying out both planned and emergency missions.
The chief-of-staff of the Armed Forces held discussions with several participating commanders and officers on the most effective methods for undertaking all assigned tasks based on the decisions made.
Gen Khalifa encouraged them to uphold distinguished standards and combat efficiency to ensure effective and competent implementation of all tasks.
A number of Armed Forces commanders attended the training project’s principal phase.
