CAIRO – A comprehensive development process has been launched in North Sinai since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi came to power, according to MENA report.
The State made endeavors to carry out projects in North Sinai, but real development has been achieved under the rule of President Sisi starting from 2014 within the framework of the national project of Sinai development.
Sisi has taken a strategic decision to develop Sinai at security level, through uprooting terrorism, along with a comprehensive development plan with focus on infrastructure, economic and social aspects, among others.
More than 1,000 projects have been carried out in Sinai in the past 10 years at a cost of over LE600 billion in different fields.
More than 300 development projects will be carried out at an investment cost of LE363 billion in the coming period.
