Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmin Fouad said every climate change conference has a special rubric, given climate change has become an important global file that concerns leaders and citizens as well.
Fouad added in televised remarks on Wednesday that the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27), to be hosted and chaired by the Egyptian state will be themed this year “Conference of Implementation.. Fair and Ambitious Transition.”
Such a rubric is very important, the minister said, adding efforts are focused to turn Sharm El-Sheikh into a green city and a committee was formed and chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli to attain the target.
The international climate gathering will convene in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city in November.
