Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy asserted that the preparations of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) come within the ministry’s top priorities.
In a press release issued by the ministry, Helmy also noted that the event must reflect Egypt’s regional and international leading position and also implement the goals of the sustainable development.
This came during his meeting with Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad to review the latest developments concerning cooperation and coordination between the two ministries to prepare for the COP27 slated to be held in Sharm el Sheikh city in November.
He also said that the ministry had finalized all development work in Cairo and Sharm el Sheikh airports as scheduled.
While Fouad reviewed measures taken by the two ministries including organization and logistic services to be provided to foreign delegations attending the conference.
