Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmi had talks on Wednesday with a delegation from the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on security measures adopted by Egyptian airports.
In a statement on Wednesday, Abbas said the meeting falls within the framework of continued cooperation and coordination with various world countries in the civil aviation security domain.
The meeting included the announcement of establishing a regional center in Egypt for security training with top-notch equipment to be provided by the US.
The delegation lauded the development leap in Egypt in various domains.
The delegation welcomed cooperation with Egypt and offering all needed support for re-designing Terminal 3 of Cairo International Airport.
The two sides agreed to further cooperation to develop security aviation mechanism to ensure highest levels of security for passengers in line with international standards.
