As part of the 23rd phase of “Kolena Wahed” (We are all one) initiative, citizens converged on various outlets Wednesday to purchase cheap goods at low prices.
The initiative also aims to provide several food commodities to people with high quality and at low prices.
The initiative is expected to extend its activities for two additional months.
The initiative was launched by the Interior Ministry on September 1 to provide school supplies for citizens.
The ministry took all necessary measures for embarking on the new phase of the initiative in coordination with all the security directorates and sectors concerned nationwide.
Goods are available at these outlets with a discount ranging between 30% to 60% compared to other shops to ease up economic burdens on the citizens.
The initiative comes in pursuance of directives by the political leadership.
The initiative aims at controlling price hikes in local markets, ending monopoly, and regulating markets to ease burdens on citizens.
