CAIRO – No fire has been reported at the church of Virgin Mary and Martyr Abanoub in Giza’s Baragil district, Spokesman for the Coptic Orthodox Church Moussa Ibrahim said.
What happened was an electrical spark in the main electrical panel, so the church officials cut the power until a team from the Electricity Ministry arrived and fixed the malfunction, he added.
No damage has been reported, the spokesman noted.
