Charge d’affaires of the Chinese embassy in Egypt Zhang Tao wished success to Egypt in hosting COP 27 due in Sharm el Sheikh on November 6-18.
He expressed readiness of China to co-operate to help Egypt in low-emission green transition and face the repercussion of climate change.
This came in Zhang’s speech during the forum of “Egypt and China in ten years.. continuous progress” held in Cairo to review and document the accomplishments in the field of development in Egypt and China within ten years under President Abel Fattah El Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in light of joint partnership strategy between both countries.
Egypt is important for China especially in relation to strategic partnership and keenness on continuous communication, Zhang said.
He expressed his country’s wish to co-operate with Egypt to face the economic challenges taking place in the world.
Meanwhile, political advisor of the Chinese embassy in Cairo asserted that China supports the Egyptian measures taken by President Sisi to achieve progress and development according to an Egyptian vision, lauding the strength of strategic ties between Egypt and China.
