President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed his deep appreciation for the strong and historic ties binding Egypt and Kuwait.

President Sisi pointed to the challenges facing the global economy, as well as the current regional and international circumstances, which necessitate intensifying co-operation and integration among brotherly Arab countries, particularly in light of the special nature of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations as a model for constructive and fruitful co-operation based on mutual trust and respect.

President Sisi’s remarks came as he received on Thursday a high-level Kuwaiti investment delegation led by Mr. Mohammed Jassim Al-Saqr, head of the Kuwaiti side of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Co-operation Council.

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel-Aati, and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan al-Khatib attended the meeting.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said that President Sisi welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation, and affirmed appreciation of the brotherly relationship that binds him and His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, in addition to the strong brotherly ties between Egypt and Kuwait at various official and popular levels.

For his part, the head of the Kuwaiti delegation conveyed a message to President El-Sisi from His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, stating that Kuwait is honored to support Egypt and that Kuwait will never forget Egypt’s support for it at the beginning of the establishment of the State of Kuwait, while emphasising the commitment of the Kuwaiti private sector to strengthening its economic partnership with Egypt.

In this respect, President Sisi underscored the vital role the private sector plays in driving economic co-operation and called on Kuwaiti investors to take full advantage of Egypt’s wide array of investment opportunities.

The President invited Kuwaiti investors to explore the opportunities available in Egypt, benefit from the incentives and facilities provided by the Egyptian state, and develop industrial cooperation by working on establishing industrial partnerships between Egyptian and Kuwaiti companies, focusing on sectors with high added value.

President Sisi noted that the Egyptian market is large and promising and has huge needs in various fields, which allows investors to obtain significant returns on investment.

He then reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for Kuwaiti investments and invited businessmen to establish strategic partnerships across high-value sectors, particularly in industry and infrastructure.

The meeting included the presentation of a documentary showcasing Egypt’s flagship development and infrastructure projects, many of which present promising avenues for Kuwaiti investment. The Kuwaiti delegation commended Egypt’s remarkable progress in economic reform and infrastructure enhancement, applauding the government’s efforts to foster a business-friendly climate.

The Kuwaiti side expressed strong interest in further expanding its investment footprint in Egypt, noting that Kuwaiti investments have surpassed $20 billion, spanning over a thousand companies across multiple sectors. They highlighted the strategic importance of continuing this momentum and voiced their intention to play an active role in the upcoming “Egyptian-Gulf Investment Forum” to be hosted in Cairo, affirming their support for Egypt’s ongoing development trajectory and the shared aspiration for regional growth and prosperity.
