CBE: Remittances of Egyptians abroad hit $20.9b in 8 months

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Thursday that the remittances of Egyptians working abroad recorded some $20.9 billion from January to August 2022, compared with $21.4 billion during the same period of the past year.

In a statement, the CBE said remittances from workers abroad in August 2022 hit about $2.2 billion, compared to some $2.4 billion in July 2022.
