Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el Gazar said the Central Agency for Reconstruction carried out 482 development projects in Sinai and cities of the canal at a cost of nearly 24.8 billion Egyptian pounds during the period starting from 2014 and until now, according to a statement by the ministry.
The projects aim to serve residents of Sinai and the canal and offer them quality life, Gazar added in the statement.
Such ventures will mainly contribute to developing Sinai by improving the quality of roads and services offered to citizens and upgrading villages in order to raise standards of living, he said.
Gazar added the projects also aim to link Sinai with homeland, as “Sinai is part of Egypt’s national security”,
