CAIRO – The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said Monday that the rate of annual inflation receded to 27.4 percent in May 2024 compared with 33.7 per cent during the same month last year.
In a statement today, CAPMAS attributed the decline to a decrease in the prices of grains, bread, meat, poultry, oils and dairy products.
The statement added that the prices of some veggies, some fruits, coffee and tea, in addition to other products, increased.
