Egypt’s exports to Russia hit dlrs 595.1 million in 2022 against dlrs 489.6 million in 2021, marking a 21.6 per cent, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics.
Russian exports to Egypt hit dlrs 4.1 billion in 2022 against dlrs 3.6 billion in 2021, at a 15.5 per cent uptick.
CAPMAS said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia recorded dlrs 4.7 billion in 2022 against dlrs 4.1 billion in 2021, marking a rise at 16.2 per cent.
Top 10 commodities that Egypt exported from Russia in 2022 included fruits at dlrs 302.2 million, vegetables and plants at dlrs 207.2 million, soap at dlrs 11.8 million and electric devices at dlrs 10.7 million.
Top 10 commodities that Egypt imported from Russia in 2022 included grains at dlrs 2.1 billion, wood at dlrs 422.1 million, and iron and steel at dlrs 362.8 million.
The volume of Russian investments in Egypt hit dlrs 34.5 million in 2022-2021 FY against dlrs 14.1 million in 2021-2020 FY, at a 145.2 per cent rise.
