CAIRO – The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that Egyptian cotton exports (from September to August 2021) increased by 101.5% compared to the same period in 2020.
In its newsletter out Wednesday, the agency said that total consumption rates of domestic cotton reached 92,9 metric kantars from September to August 2021 (one kantar is equal to 45.02 kilograms), compared to 135,5 metric kantars during the same period of the previous year, registering a decrease of 31.5%.
India came at the top of importers of Egyptian cotton.
