Egyptian Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Ati said that holding Cairo Water Week tops the political agenda’s priorities and crowns Egypt’s leading regional role in the Arab and African regions.
Abdel Ati was speaking during his meeting with Eman el Sayed, the head of the planning sector at the Irrigation Ministry to follow up the current measures taken to hold the fourth edition of the Cairo Water Week, slated for October 24 to 28 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Abdel Ati pointed out that the Cairo Water Week aims to find sustainable solutions for managing water resources to confront overpopulation and climate change issues, as well as hydrological systems, noting many ministers, senior officials, scientists, international institutes and organizations, and legal experts will partake in the event.
The minister stressed the importance of implementing all anti-coronavirus measures to ensure the safety of all participants.
