Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held talks on the phone Saturday with his Libyan counterpart Najla el-Mangoush on means of enhancing co-operation between the two countries.
The two ministers also exchanged views about developments on the Libyan stage, efforts to put into effect the recommendations of the latest inter-Libyan round of political talks and the relevant Security Council resolution, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
He added that the two ministers highlighted the importance of this issue for Libya’s stability and the prosperity of its people.
Minister Shoukry invited Minister el-Mangoush to visit Egypt soon, within consultations and coordination between their two countries on means of bringing stability back to Libya and in the light of extended and historical relations between the two countries.
The Libyan minister accepted the invitation, but a date is yet to be set for the visit soon, Ambassador Hafez said.
