Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy, Bassam Radi, received Minister of Labour Mohamed Gabran, who is beginning a two-day official visit to Rome. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral co-operation in the areas of employment, vocational training, labour mobility, and opening new labour markets for trained Egyptian professionals to work in Italy according to the highest European standards.
The visit is scheduled to include a series of important meetings with officials from Italian recruitment and training companies, the Italian Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and a bilateral meeting with the Italian Minister of Labour and Social Policies.
These meetings will focus on organising and facilitating the transfer and employment of Egyptian workers in Italy, as part of the state’s efforts to regulate the travel of Egyptian workers abroad through legal channels and a regular mechanism agreed upon by both parties, based on the professional needs of qualified young Egyptian workers.
Ambassador Radi said that the visit also includes Milan, the capital of the industrial Lombardy region, to learn about the work mechanisms and to visit institutes specializing in training workers in the construction sector, as well as to discuss cooperation in the field of recruiting and training Egyptian workers.
