Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil on Monday received the visiting Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed El Mahdi Bensaid, at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital.
The meeting is held on the sidelines of the first session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee held in Cairo under chairmanship of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, and in the wake of signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries.
The meeting reviewed avenues to further boost bilateral co-operation in fields of youth and sports, with a focus on developing joint programmes and initiatives, exchanging expertise in youth empowerment and capacity-building, and exploring the implementation of activities that foster greater engagement and communication between young people in both countries.
Minister Nabil affirmed the depth of the longstanding relations between Egypt and Morocco, and underscored the importance of expanding co-operation frameworks to better address youth issues and support sustainable development efforts.
For his part, the Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, reaffirming his country’s commitment to further enhancing partnership with Egypt, particularly in the youth and cultural sectors.
