Egypt and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are seeking stronger links to empower the private sector, support economic reform policies, and promote sustainable development under the country programme framework.
The country’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom met with Carlos Conde, Head of the Middle East and Africa Division at the OECD’s International Relations Directorate, to explore ways to enhance joint efforts in fostering entrepreneurship and improving the business environment.
The partnership provides a key platform to advance governance, increase private sector participation, and accelerate economic growth, Rostom said.
He added that the government is shifting its focus towards translating studies into practical, actionable programmes that deliver measurable impact, particularly in the areas of public investment, private sector support, and business climate reforms.
