Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber held a meeting on Monday with Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal.
Saber stressed the deep-rooted ties between Egypt and Bahrain, highlighted by the alignment of visions and frequent exchanges of visits between the two nations’ leaders.
The discussion focused on activating the Friendship and Co-operation Agreement signed in June 2022 between Cairo and Manama during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Bahrain.
The agreement aims to further consolidate mutual understanding and collaboration across various sectors, including urban planning, public utilities, culture, arts, education, healthcare, tourism, sports, the environment, and trade, the governor added.
Saber described the agreement as part of ongoing efforts to bolster cooperation, exchange expertise, and deepen bilateral ties in diverse fields.
For her part, Ambassador Zainal reiterated the solidbrotherly relations between the two countries, crediting the leadership of both nations for their continuous efforts to elevate bilateral co-operation to new heights, benefiting the peoples in both.
