Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif and a delegation from Huawei, led by Li Xin, President of Huawei North Africa, discussed on Thursday co-operation in upgrading the technological infrastructure of the education system in Egypt.
The two sides also addressed fostering innovation in artificial intelligence apps within the learning process.
The move is part of the state’s commitment to developing the education system and advancing digital transformation
During the meeting, the minister stressed that deliveringmodern technology and AI tools to every student, is a top priority for the state, to qualify them for the future.
He also highlighted Egypt’s role as a regional hub for sharing educational expertise with African nations, strengthening international cooperation.
He highlighted China’s achievements which reflect exceptional ability to manage a large-scale education system accommodating vast numbers of students efficiently, while employing the latest digital technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance the educational process. Egypt aims to adapt such models locally, he said.
For his part, Huawei’s North Africa President Li Xin commended Egypt’s vision and pledged full support, offering the company’s expertise to advance digital transformation in schools.
Talks covered upgrading networks, platforms, and interactive learning systems. Both sides agreed to deepen strategic partnership to build a modern, integrated digital education system.
