CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi has met with Christian Thones, the Chairman of the Executive Board of DMG MORI, a Germany-based company that provides machines and services, as well as software and energy solutions.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in areas of joint cooperation.
The meeting touched on ways to promote bilateral cooperation in the fields of military and civil industrialization, the minister said, noting that he discussed with Thönes the possibility of cooperation between Helwan Engineering Industries Company which is affiliated with the ministry and DMG MORI company.
Morsi said cooperation between the Ministry of Military Production and DMG MORI started in 2019 when a letter of intent was signed between the two sides to upgrade the production line of a subsidiary company as a start for applying concepts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to manufacturing lines of Abu Zaabal Company for Specialized Industries.
This comes in compliance with the directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in this regard, the minister noted.
