Ambassador Mirzazoda expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt’s strategic role as a gateway to Africa and a regional hub for air travel and cultural exchange. He also praised the recent progress in Egypt’s civil aviation sector.

The ambassador welcomed the launch of weekly seasonal flights between Dushanbe and the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh and noted that both sides are currently studying a bilateral air transport agreement. He also voiced hope for a future direct route between Dushanbe and Cairo, which he said would boost tourism and bring the two nations closer together.
