Egyptian Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister El Sayyed el Qusair signed a co-operation protocol with his Hungarian counterpart István Nagy in the fish farming field.
The minister said this co-operation comes in recognition of the importance of fostering and preserving freshwater fisheries and aquaculture development.
Fields of co-operation covered by the protocol include exchanging technical and scientific information in the fields of fisheries and fish farming, he said.
He added that both sides agreed to form a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the cooperation protocol, prepare joint projects and facilitate all measures related to fishing activities, subsequent investment studies, researches, technology and knowledge transfer, and training courses included in the protocol.
The committee will also be responsible for following up mechanisms of implementing a previous protocol signed between both sides in 2018, with Cairo to host the first meetings of the committee.
