Cairo has been named among the best cities to visit in 2026, according to the British magazine Time Out.
The ranking was compiled following a global survey that gathered insights from 24,000 residents across cities worldwide, reflecting local perspectives on urban life, culture, and visitor experiences.
Grace Beard, Travel Editor at Time Out, said: “Each year we survey local residents in cities around the world to compile our final annual ranking.
The Time Out Best Cities list, produced in collaboration with Intrepid Travel, marks its tenth anniversary this year. It is not just a global snapshot of city life, but a celebration of the fun, culture, and community spirit that define urban living,” Beard said.
She added: “In 2026, we expanded our survey to cover 150 cities and introduced new questions to deepen our understanding of residents’ everyday lives, providing richer insight into what makes cities vibrant places to live and visit.”
