The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced on Tuesday the cancellation of the paper arrival / departure Cards for Egyptian passengers at Cairo International Airport starting Saturday April 11
The move comes as part of Egypt’s broader push toward digital transformation and streamlined government services, aimed at improving the efficiency and flow of travel procedures.

According to the ministry, the step is intended to reduce processing times, enhance passenger movement, and improve operational efficiency in line with international standards.
Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny said the measure reflects a clear government direction toward improving services for travelers and upgrading airport performance in line with global developments in the aviation sector.
He added that the system will be gradually rolled out across other Egyptian airports in the coming phase, noting that its successful implementation at Cairo International Airport was made possible through close coordination among relevant security authorities.

The minister praised the efforts of all entities involved, describing the move as part of an integrated institutional approach that highlights the efficiency and cohesion of government performance.
