El-ALAMEIN, Egypt – The Egyptian Cabinet, under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, approved a draft law to regulate the foreign yacht tourism in Egyptian ports and marinas.
The move comes after the government previously announced that it would soon launch a strategy to promote this important type of tourism in Egypt.
The bill provides that the maritime transport sector would be in charge of implementing and upgrading the yacht tourism strategy.
Under the draft law, an online platform titled “Single-Window for Yacht Tourism” should be created and run by the Transport Ministry, which will be the only body responsible for finalizing the procedures for the entry and exit of tourist yachts.
