The Cabinet approved during its weekly meeting under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Tuesday amendments to some rules that organize Egypt’s participation in exhibitions funded by the Export Development Fund (EDF) through a program applied since July 1, 2021.
The approval came in reply to requests by some companies, exports councils and business organizations to facilitate procedures required for the participation in Egyptian exhibitions abroad.
The cabinet also agreed to extend the validity of old licenses of a number of hotel and tourist projects in Sharm El Sheikh and Nabq cities till October 1 in order to allow these facilities to finalize development operations ahead of the COP27 conference due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh late this year.
The cabinet agreed to issue licenses based on the usufruct system for the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr to establish 25 branches in youth centers and youth cities in some governorates as part of efforts to expand banking services offered to citizens.
