The Egyptian media center of the cabinet denied on Sunday a reported video claiming that progress rate of all projects of the New Administrative Capital (NAC) does not exceed 25 per cent.
The center said it contacted the NAC company that dismissed as groundless the video which is being circulated on social media.
The company stressed that more than 70 percent of the first stage of the new capital was finalized, adding that the first stage includes 10 residential districts in addition to a number of giant projects that are about to be concluded, including the government and business districts.
It said progress rate of the government district is at 98 per cent, adding that 60 per cent of central business district, that includes 20 towers, was finalized.
The company made clear that 100 per cent of the Sports city was finalized as well as the New Opera House, Knowledge City, Art and Culture City, New Administrative Capital hospital, central parks, Olympic City, schools and private universities.
The center urged media outlets to contact the official website of the NAC company to verify the authenticity of reports related to the new capital to avoid disrupting public order, warning that such anonymous reports aim at undermining citizens’ trust in giant under-construction projects in Egypt.
