The cabinet approved – during its weekly meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli – securing needed funds for contracting with a number of companies to offer sustainable and green transport services for delegations to take part in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), which will be held in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh in November.
The cabinet said there is a need for establishing charging and maintenance stations for 180 electric buses in Nabq and Ruwaisat areas as well as 300 buses operating by electricity and natural gas.
Meanwhile, the cabinet also approved issuing 3 million coins of one pound and half a pound category on the 150th anniversary of establishing the Egyptian National Library and Archives (Dar Al Kotob).
The cabinet also approved a contract between the Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA) and a company for monitoring the UHIA financial conditions.
The cabinet also sanctioned a request of the General Authority For Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) for establishing a new Egyptian shareholding company in Robeiki area in Badr City of Cairo governorate.
The 60-feddan-area project will secure about 1100 jobs.
