The Egyptian cabinet approved during its weekly meeting on Tuesday a decision allowing the Ministry of Education to clinch a deal with Nahdet Misr Publishing Group to increase the e-content of school books in the stages from primary 6 till third secondary as of the coming academic year 2022/2023.
The four-year deal is self-funded through the Educational Ministry’s Fund for Establishing, Management and Development of Educational Projects to avoid putting any financial burdens on the state’s treasury.
The move comes as part of the national strategic plan to develop pre-university education.
The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating a 25-feddan lot of land in North Sinai to be used as a logistics area for the exchange of commodities.
Also, the cabinet approved a draft presidential decree to allocate 2,000-square meters from state-owned lands in Isna town in Luxor governorate to be used as a station for drying vegetables and fruits with the use of solar energy.
