Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi was re-elected to a third term in office on Monday, according to official results from the National Elections Authority.
The election was held over three days, from December 10-12 and Sisi had three presidential contestants.
Sisi was re-elected with a decisive victory of 89.6% of the vote or 39.7 million votes, the National Elections Authority said in a press conference.
