Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif el-Sherbiny met on Wednesday senior officials from Big International, a leading global firm specialising in urban development, to explore potential areas of co-operation.
Minister el-Sherbiny reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to boosting partnerships with the private sector. He also underscored the government’s ongoing efforts, in collaboration with various agencies, to support and localise industries that cater to the evolving demands of the domestic market.
The minister went on to present an overview of Egypts new urban development strategy, highlighting the advancement of fourth-generation cities such as the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein, and New Mansoura. He also reviewed major infrastructure and development projects currently underway in these cities.
Executives from Big International highlighted their capabilities in delivering residential and commercial projects, skyscrapers, hotels, sports facilities, security systems, sustainable infrastructure, and integrated urban communities. The delegation also introduced innovative solutions focused on cost-effective construction, space optimisation, and efficient city planning.The discussions aimed to identify avenues for collaboration that align with Egypts urban development objectives and further advance the nations vision for sustainable cities.
