Deputy Minister of Health and Population, Mohamed El-Tayyeb, and representatives of Etisalat Misr and STM Investment discussed on Thurdaday proposals for advancing the ministry’s digital transformation strategy and upgrading technological infrastructure to enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare services.
During the meeting, El-Tayyeb stressed that handling digitalisation challenges requires expanding smart solutions and building the digital capacities of healthcare workers to facilitate citizens’ access to high-quality services.
The ministry is working to develop a flexible and scalable infrastructure to support an integrated healthcare system, he said.
The discussions reviewed a plan to fully digitalise hospitals and establish comprehensive databases to manage healthcare facilities and supply chains, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
They focused on on-the-ground implementation mechanisms to ensure efficient data flow and achieve the state’s goal of establishing a fully integrated digital healthcare system.
The meeting brought together senior officials from Etisalat Misr, including CEO Hazem Metwally, Chief Business Officer Sherif El-Khouly, Head of Digital Solutions Mohamed El-Roueiny, Chief Technology Officer Haitham Tayea, and Head of Government Sector Nevine Khalafallah.
Representatives from STM included Chief Legal Officer Ahmed Badawy and Digital Transformation Project Manager Ahmed Essmat.
Senior ministry officials also attended.
