Bid for greater military co-operation with Algeria

Egyptian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Osama Askar met on Monday with Major General Hasnat Belkacem, chairman of the Employment-Preparation Department, and Head of the Algerian military delegation, which is currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting, which came in the purview of the Egyptian-Algerian Military Co-operation Committee discussed means of strengthening military co-operation between Egypt and Algeria.

The Egyptian General Command of the Armed Forces is ready to exchange experiences with Algeria, Askar said.

For his part, Major General Hasnat Belkacem praised the efforts by the Egyptian armed forces to maintain security and stability in the Middle East and Africa.
