Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el-Molla on Monday met with a delegation from the Athens-based American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in for energy co-operation.
During the meeting, the minister spoke of the many areas of co-operation between the two sides topped by the trade and circulation of liquefied gas.
The partnership between Egypt and Greece under the umbrella of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum and Egypt’s role as a regional gas hub would open more horizons of co-operation and help market gas from Egypt to central Europe, Bulgaria and Romania via Greece, the minister added.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in energy co-operation, covering electricity and gas interconnection projects, green transformation, green hydrogen and solar energy.
The two sides agreed to move forward on agreements, through the tripartite co-operation between Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece.
