CAIRO – The official spokesman of the Ministry of Awqaf, Abdallah Hassan, has said a court verdict issued by the Administrative Court upholding a decision by Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa on unifying Friday’s sermon was based on legal realism and the requirements of the age, as well as the right of the ministry to organising the affairs of the mosques, MENA reported.
In statements on Wednesday, the spokesman affirmed that the ruling issued by counsellor Mohamed Abdel Wahab was final and uncontestable.
