Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy reviewed the role of the civil aviation sector to achieve the goals of sustainable development of Egypt Vision 2030.
This came during Helmy’s participation in the 4th annual conference of sustainable development in Luxor held under the rubric “sustainable development in a changing world – tracks towards sustainable future”.
The event is attended by a number of ministers, presidents of banks, companies, major economic entities and public figures in addition to international and local experts in the fields of development.
Helmy pointed out to the axes of sustainable development adopted by the strategy of the Civil Aviation Ministry which result in expansion in green projects and paying attention to decarbonization in the field of air transport industry to limit environmental pollution, develop engines industry to be less fuel consuming, reduce weight of materials that enter in the planes industry, use biofuel, transfer the Egyptian airports to eco-friendly ones by using solar energy to achieve economic and sustainable growth at the different levels.
Helmy reviewed visions and international directives for the opportunities and challenges affecting the field of sustainable development according to the development goals of Egypt Vision 2030 to achieve more sustainable future.
