President commemorates 10thof Ramadan Victory
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, performed Friday prayers at the El-Mosheer Tantawi Mosque, marking the annual commemoration of the 10th of Ramadan victory.
The service, which holds significant historical weight for all Egyptians, was attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Minister of Defence and Military Production, and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa.
Senior government ministers, provincial governors, and high-ranking officials from both the armed forces and the civil police were also present.
During the service, Sheikh El-Sayed Abdel Bari delivered a sermon titled “The Month of Victories and Martyr’s Day”. The address highlighted the historical triumphs achieved by the Muslim nation throughout the month of Ramadan, framed by themes of perseverance and trust in providence.
The sermon paid particular tribute to the sanctity of martyrdom, honouring those who have sacrificed their lives in service to Egypt’s national security and sovereignty.
Following the prayers, President Sisi convened a meeting with the military leadership to commemorate the milestone. The President extended his congratulations to the Armed Forces, offering a formal salute to the fallen martyrs, whom he described as having illuminated the path for the nation’s continued progress and development.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, said the closed-door meeting focused on critical regional and international affairs. The discussions also provided an overview of the Armed Forces’ ongoing operational efforts to uphold Egyptian national security across all strategic fronts.
President Sisi concluded the meeting by expressing his appreciation for the military’s steadfast dedication to safeguarding the homeland and its institutions.
