Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar Saturday inspected a number of development projects in North Sinai.
The projects are implemented by the Armed Forces.
The tour is part of efforts exerted by the General Command of the Armed Forces to follow up on the development process and check on the security situation in North Sinai.
During his inspection tour, Askar met with a number of engineers and workers and commended performance rates on the ground.
He met with some chieftains of Sinai tribes.
Askar toured Sheikh Zuweid town and met with a number of Interior Ministry’s elements and paid tribute to their efforts to maintain security and stability in the town.
On the sidelines of the visit, Askar met with North Sinai governor and the security director along with North Sinai security sector elements.
