CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour asserted the depth and strength of bilateral ties binding Egypt and Britain, according to a statement by the ministry.
He commended fruitful and constructive relations between the two countries in the university education field and the necessity of exchanging scientific expertise between Egyptian and British universities, said the statement.
During a meeting Monday with a delegation from British Queen Margaret University, the two sides probed the establishment of a branch for the university in the New Administrative Capital.
The statement added that Egypt has different universities, covering government, private and civil (ahelya) universities as well as branches of foreign universities and institutes and academies.
The state pays great attention to building branches of international universities in order to develop quality of education and capitalize on foreign experiences.
