Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Saker, met on Tuesday with a number of the military commanders and officers in the Command of the Central Military Region.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa attended the meeting, together with commanders of the main branches, and other commanders.
This was one of the regular meetings held by the General Command of the Armed Forces with the aim of unifying concepts on various issues and topics.
The meeting included a presentation by a number of Armed Forces commanders on the key international and regional challenges, and changes, and their impact on Egypt’s national security.
General Saker, conveyed greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his appreciation for the army’s efforts to safeguard the nation’s capabilities.
The Minister also highlighted the importance of maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness and adhering to the principles and ideals of the Egyptian military so that the Armed Forces, through the dedication and sacrifices of its men, remain a unique model of discipline and commitment.
He also emphasised that the Armed Forces, with their combat capabilities and advanced weapons, are capable of deterring whosoever dares to target Egypt’s security or the capabilities of its people.
