Armed Forces in cooperation with the Ministry Social Solidarity launched the second phase of the national project to raise awareness on the importance of marriage among youth called “Mawada” (Affection) through holding meetings and field visits at training centers affiliated to the Armed Forces.
The second phase of the project comes as part of the Armed Forces keenness on spreading awareness among recruits and upgrade their culture and knowledge to be socially qualified to life after performing their national duties.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi directed the Solidarity Ministry, during the sixth conference of youth at Cairo University, to carry on with the project which aims to reduce the steady rise of divorces in Egyptian society.
Mawadda platform was launched by Sisi during the World Youth Forum in December 2019.
The project is targeting females aged between 18 and 45 from school and university students, children in villages and rural areas, men of religion, preachers and nuns.
The Mawada project seeks to combine efforts to preserve the Egyptian family unity by providing youth with the necessary information to form a family and resolve any possible disagreements, reducing the possibility of divorce.
